    I haven't understood why you haven't gotten closer to the gliders to have more take-off run and why it took you so long to get on the train.

    • @KonstantinosPlatis
      @KonstantinosPlatis Год назад

      Good points. Close to gliders: they don't like the downwash. Landing gear very early retract: keep the gear down as long as you have runway available plus his Gear takes very long to retract. With very high density altitude and OEI you never climb with this airplane so better keep the gear alittle longer up.

    • @mt4130
      @mt4130 Год назад

      @@KonstantinosPlatis I still think that if it's a critical takeoff, you have little runway, high density altitude and with an inoperative engine you don't climb and you still decide to take off, I would have gotten closer to the gliders and raised the gear with ground effect. In any case, it's a comment, your flights seem excellent to me. I've been following you for a long time. Thanks for answering.

    • @KonstantinosPlatis
      @KonstantinosPlatis Год назад

      @@mt4130 you are right, T/O should be a no go since you need to consider the OEI climbing factor. The only reason i took this risk was that i was alone at the airplane and also wanted to check the climbing tables with the reality (which are far away as noticed) Regarding zoom T/O i am in favor anyway. At 3.09 Minute i mention that i keep it down to reach if possible the blue line and you have a good point at that moment to bring the gear lever up and be clean somehow on the way up. But as i mentioned the gear takes very long for this plane to retract( check the red transition light ) and in case of crash landing i prefer to have the gear down due to its robustness. Finally thank you for your feedback and as you know in aviation we learn from our mistakes as soon as they are not....fatal. Thank you for following my channel.

    Your control inputs just before touchdown are too erratic and results in rocking. Your approach should be lined up and stabilized as you approach, not at touchdown. It is better to be a little off center than to put all the weight on 1 side or the front gear. You may benefit from a ground camera to see what the control movements are doing. I highly recommend the below video about AQP that airlines have used to nearly eliminate accidents. There is also a checklist below the video. I wish you the best and hopefully see it in that light, not as a negative. ruclips.net/video/m_tKShlf_gU/видео.html AQP: www.dangryder.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/FLIGHT-CHOPS-AQP-v.01-1.pdf

    Thanks for these videos. The P2006T would be my first choice if I upgraded to a twin, chiefly because of the book short field performance - it's good to see video evidence of ground runs < 500m at over 1000 feet. If you don't mind me asking what's the maximum take off weight you would comfortably work with at Triengen?

    • @KonstantinosPlatis
      @KonstantinosPlatis 2 года назад

      Hi Robin, Thank you for your feedback. The max. Useful weight in this airplane is only 394 kg. One Pilot, one passenger and full full is: 2 X 80= 160 + 140 = 200 kgrs+ 836 kgrs empty weight = 1036 kgrs. !!! This will not make Triengen one day with high density altitude and OEI! Triengen is also a challenging short Field particularly with Biese (irregular north Wind with gusts and windshiering) and you don't want to find yourself with 10 knots tailwind while flaring. Regarding upgrading to this airplane you should definitely consider if a 394 max useful weight MEP makes sense to own privately. Thanks again for following my videos. More to come. Konstantinos

    Hi Konstantinos, the entry circle at Birrfeld is at 2500 ft and must be used when arriving only. It is above the circuit altitude. One only makes orbits for separation if traffic requires that. There's is no need to make orbits during every downwind.

    • @KonstantinosPlatis
      @KonstantinosPlatis 2 года назад

      Hi John, you are absolutely right. In my Case Iam talking about circuits. When you have a small trainer in front of you for separation reason you delay making inner cycles ( and not external like in other airport) and that's a particularity of Birrfeld. • @KonstantinosPlatis
      @KonstantinosPlatis 2 года назад

      Hi David, Talking about Triengen, there is one entering sector which is the East. It's a short runway between two hills. I suggest entering sector East, go overhead check the wind and plan 2300 feet QNH on left or right downwind. Look out for traffic and the base for RW 15 is short. Don't forget short field landing procedure, if you arrive at the threshold with high speed please go around since the runway is somehow short. Hope it helps
